How to turn roaming on your Apple iPhone 17 Pro on or off
Data roaming is what lets your iPhone use the internet on a mobile network that isn't your own carrier's. Turn it off and your phone will only go online over Wi-Fi — which is how you stop a home carrier running up roaming charges abroad. Turn it on and it will connect to whatever partner network it can find, at that carrier's rates.

Tap Cellular.
