How to turn roaming on your Google Pixel on or off
Roaming is what lets your Pixel use another carrier's network when you are outside your own carrier's coverage. Switch it off and the phone falls back to Wi-Fi only, which is how you stop a home carrier billing you for data abroad. Switch it on and it will use whatever partner network it can reach, at that carrier's rates.

Open Settings.
