🇦🇺eSIMs voor Australië

Australian SIMs require passport registration at Vodafone, Telstra, or Optus stores — easy but a time cost on arrival when you've just stepped off a 14-hour flight to Sydney or Melbourne. An eSIM lets you call your ride share the moment you turn on your phone, jet-lagged or not.

Geschikt voor

Sydney and Melbourne city stays; Great Barrier Reef and Whitsundays trips out of Cairns or Hamilton Island; East Coast road trips from Brisbane to Cairns; Uluru and Red Centre tours; Tasmania driving holidays.

Netwerken

Roams onto Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone Australia. Telstra has by far the broadest reach into the Outback and rural Tasmania; Optus is competitive in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane CBDs; Vodafone covers the urban east coast well.

Reistip

Coverage in the Outback and on the Great Ocean Road drops out for long stretches — Telstra typically reaches the furthest, but anywhere west of the Blue Mountains plan to be offline for hours at a time.
